FilmMusicSite will be releasing the original soundtrack to the 1964 Italian horror film La Danza Macabra (aka Castle Of Blood), which was composed by the late Riz Ortolani. The OST will be released on February 28th and pre-orders are being taken here. Ortolani passed away just a few weeks ago in Rome and is recognized for the infamous and controversial Cannibal Holocaust.
The IMDb synopsis reads, “A writer accepts a bet that he cannot spend the night alone in a haunted castle on All Soul’s Eve. Once night falls at the castle, several who had been murdered therein return to life, reliving their deaths and seeking to kill the writer for his blood in a vain attempt to stay alive beyond that one night. Barbara Steele, as one of the living dead, tries to aid his escape from the castle.”
