Brad Pitt Officially Starring In ‘World War Z’

Variety reports Wednesday evening that Oscar-nominated writer Steven Knight has been tapped to pen the sequel to Paramount Picture’s sequel of World War Z.

The Orphanage” and “Penny Dreadful’s” J.A. Bayona is still attached to direct with Brad Pitt, pictured, officially attached to star in the zombie sequel, which has its plot details kept under wraps.

While the first movie wasn’t perfect (read my review), it was such a treat for us horror fans to see the zombie subgenre done in such a massive scope. If anything, it was disappointing to see the final act confine itself to an empty hospital. I’m really hoping they take things to an entirely new level with the sequel.

Pitt will produce along with Jeremy Kleiner and Dede Gardner for Plan B.
