#ResistComics is an ambitious and important project that sees a collective of artists and writers come together to create an anthology of comics, illustrations and articles on the theme of Occupy Gezi movement in Turkey. Inspired by Occupy Comics and the creative ways in which people resisted against an oppressive government. As an international group of writers, artists, academics and critics, they want to contribute to this movement through comics and art.
They have been working on the anthology since the early days of the Gezi resistance, and are about to complete it on the first anniversary of the protests. They see the project as part of global movement of activism against neoliberal governments, who have no respect for the environment, animal rights or basic human rights.
