Indie developer Endnight Games’ horror debut The Forest has been on my radar for some time. For the unfamiliar, it’s a deeply unsettling horror game set in a forested island on which your plane has recently made a crash landing. Unfortunately, this particular island is home to a ridiculously xenophobic tribe of indigenous mutant cannibals.
Now that I think about it, The Forest is so much more than The Descent meets Cannibal Holocaust; there’s also a bit of Silent Hill and Minecraft mixed in there too. It’s horrifying — watch me (try to) play it below.
If you’d like to brave The Forest yourself, you can grab it now on Steam for $14.99.
