Update: New On Vinyl reached out with a price correction. Since there is a 21% discount for US customers, the price comes out to €29.19/$39.70.
I think we can all agree that Tim Burton’s 1993 stop motion classic The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of the greatest holiday films for our genre. But something that drove me a little bit up the wall was just how much merchandise was released. I honestly don’t think a full-sized shipping container could hold one of each item that’s been put out for this film.
Now, New On Vinyl is taking pre-orders for the original soundtrack, composed by Danny Elfman, for the low price of €36,95 (approximately $50 USD). The album will be released on September 30th and the full track list and cover artwork has not yet been confirmed.
I may pick this up one day if I see it on sale. After all, it’s a fantastic album and a great soundtrack, but this price is just a wee bit too steep for me.
