Another character details has been revealed from FX’s “American Horror Story: Freak Show”, the fourth season of the popular anthology television series.
Michael Chiklis will be playing “a strong man who’s married to Angela Bassett[‘s character],” exec producer Ryan Murphy told TV Line at Thursday’s Critics Choice Awards, where he was honored with the Louis XIII Genius Award.
“He has scenes with Angela and Jessica Lange and [onscreen ex] Kathy Bates. I love the part because it’s really written to be quite vulnerable, which is something I think Michael does so well – the strong man who’s vulnerable. I’m very excited to see [him] tussle with all those great ladies. And he’s really up for it, really excited about it.”
I always thought it was funny that Chiklis plays a “tough guy” in movies and on TV considering he just looks short and fat to me. But alas…
Sarah Paulso recently revealed she’ll be playing a two-headed freak.
EW previously reported that, the seres, returning this fall, is set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950. “Freak Show” finds Jessica Lange playing a German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.
Her group of “unusuals” Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy all play performers whom Lange’s character has rescued.
Michael Chiklis, also stars with Denis O’Hare and the gorgeous Emma Roberts returning.
