Devon Sawa Toplines ‘The Exorcism of Molly Hartley’!
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has started production today on The Exorcism of Molly Hartley, the second chapter to 2008’s The Haunting of Molly Hartley first reported here on Bloody-Disgusting back in May.
Shooting on location in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the sequel is directed by horror veteran Steven R. Monroe (I Spit On Your Grave, I Spit On Your Grave 2Leprechaun: Origins, Fright Night 2).
The cast includes the awesome Devon Sawa(!), best known from Final Destination and Idle Hands, as well as Gina Holden (Final Destination 3, The Butterfly Effect 2), and Sarah Lind (WolfCop, “True Justice”) as Molly Hartley, who now, as an adult, has fallen under the possession of an evil spirit and must be exorcised by a fallen priest before the devil completely takes her.
What we’re told is that the sequel follows Molly Hartley (clearly) who, after a night of heavy partying, finds her friends butchered. While locked in a mental hospital for observation, she becomes possessed by a demon. Her fellow inmate, a defrocked priest named Father John Barrow, hopes to save her.
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will handle worldwide distribution on Blu-ray, DVD, VOD, and Digital HD for the film’s release in 2015.
The killer tomatoes are back in Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence, and the offiical poster for the brand new movie has been unleashed tonight.
Additionally, we’ve learned that the film’s theatrical release is set for this August, with a panel set for San Diego Comic-Con this month featuring the world premiere of the trailer.

The film features an ensemble cast led by franchise icon John Astin (The Addams Family), reprising his role as Professor Gangreen, comedy legend David Koechner (Anchorman), Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), horror favorite Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier), comedy veteran Dan Bakkedahl (Veep), Myrna Velasco (Star Wars Resistance), Vernée Watson (Shrinking, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), and Paul Bates (Coming to America).
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes launched in 1979, followed by 1988’s Return of the Killer Tomatoes, 1991’s Killer Tomatoes Strike Back, and 1992’s Killer Tomatoes Eat France.
The franchise also spawned an animated series in 1990.
