I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with minimalism. Sometimes, I just don’t get it, but then there are times when I see something that perfectly simplifies the subject, theme or message it aims to represent. These minimalist horror movie posters, which were created by Spanish design studio Atipo, fall firmly into the latter category. Each poster cleverly boils down a film, ridding it of its complexities, so we can look at it and say “Ah! I know what film that is!”
The only one I would’ve mistaken for something else is the Edward Scissorhands poster, which could also double as A Nightmare On Elm Street.
