Universal has had a adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s incredible series from IDW Publishing “Locke & Key” in development hell for some time now. I mean there was even a fully filmed pilot making the rounds a couple years back, before everything completely fell apart. Now, it seems that the adaptation is moving along again as they’ve tapped a writer to pen the draft with Albert Torres.
If that name doesn’t ring any bells, you’re not in the minority. Torres hasn’t really had a lot of credits to his career. His most noteworthy production was a Ho-hum Luke Wilson star vehicle “Henry Poole is Here” but that’s about it. Luckily Hill should be heavily invovled in the adaptation, and the source material is just so fantastic that it’s rather hard to imagine anyone fucking it up too badly.
Well here’s hoping…
