The Hollywood Reporter exclusively offered the news today that the Soska Sisters have been tapped to direct the comic book adaptation of “Painkiller Jane.” They are an incredibly inspired choice for the film and will bring their characteristic insanity and brutality to the story. They’ve been unstoppable since the release of “American Mary” and this should make them a household name.
Painkiller Jane is a comic book heroine created by Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada for Event Comics in 1995. She’s an ex-cop who after an explosion becomes a virtually indestructible vigilante with healing powers.
