Ray Fawkes and Ben Templesmith Take us to “Gotham By Midnight!”

This morning DC Comics announced a project that further expands the world of Gotham. With “Gotham by Midnight” they’re taking the infamous city into an even more horrific place. The book will focus on the stranger fringes of the city with Jim Corrigan leading a special force of detectives much akin to The X-Files as they delve into Gotham’s deepest and darkest corners. This is the horror comic the world of Batman has always needed.

BLASTR has the full scoop. Holy hell, this is exactly what DC Comics needs. I’ve been craving a new horror book that takes places in the New 52 proper and this is exactly the team to bring it to us. Templesmith’s work is haunting and will evoke an incredible tone going forward. The inclusion of Jim Corrigan as the protagonist allows Fawkes to focus on the horror brought on by the Spectre but perhaps make the transition a little more harrowing.

The book hits in November and I couldn’t be more psyched.
