Indianapolis progressive metal band The Contortionist have released an official music video for their track “Language 1: Intuition”, which comes from their upcoming album Language (out September 16th via E1 Music).
Directed by Corey Norman (The Hanover House), the video mixes band performance footage with shots of a woman who slowly becomes one with nature. Well, if one can define one with nature as “this woman is getting wrapped up by vines Evil Dead style and then she gets pulled into the ground.” Someone call Merriam Webster and get them on this.
This video came out last week but I was only recently made aware of its existence. I’m really enjoying the sound of the track. It definitely has me questioning how wide the definition of “metal” can reach.
