Relativity Will Release ‘The Woman In Black 2’!

The Woman in Black

I wasn’t a huge fan of Hammer Films’ The Woman In Black, but damned if people didn’t love it. And let’s be honest there were some pretty spectacular scares and set pieces, which were enough to get me onboard for if a sequel were to happen. Well, it did, and we’ll be seeing the Woman In Black return, thanks to Relativity.

Deadline reports that Relativity has closed a seven-figure deal for U.S. distribution rights to The Woman In Black 2, the sequel to the hit 2012 haunted house film that starred Daniel Radcliffe and was distributed in the U.S. by CBS Films. It grossed $54 million domestically and $128 million worldwide.

The fright sequel, which takes place in the same house 40 years later when a group of children who are evacuated from London during World War II come to stay and awaken the house’s darkest inhabitants, is in post production. It is directed by Tom Harper and stars Jeremy Irvine and Helen McCroy.
