Bloody-Disgusting has teamed up with LA-based electronic artist WVM to bring you the exclusive song premiere of “Empire”, which you can hear below. The track, which was mixed by Sean Beavan (Marilyn Manson, No Doubt, Slayer), is a mix of hypnotic NIN-esque synths and industrial stylings a lá Combichrist with a healthy dosage of John Carpenter thrown into the mix.
WVM states:
“Empire” and “Pale Horse” were made using analog synths and drum machines. I was heavily inspired by the synth music of the 80s but the songs are not rooted in any era as they sound like they could come from the past, present or future.
“Empire” comes from WVM’s upcoming album Waves Of Nothing, which can be pre-ordered here.
