If there’s one thing that scares me more than spiders it’s when my wife says, “Hey, let’s go to IKEA.” That’s the most terrifying thing anyone will hear. I hate that place because it’s a maze of a store littered with sick people coughing, kids screaming and carts in your way. By the time I reach the end, I’m convinced I’m in a horror movie.
Out of Singapore comes a commercial for IKEA that echoes the size of the stores, while also delivering some scares.
The ad is an absolutely brilliant homage to Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Shining, as little Danny Torrance bikes through the store, as if it were the Overlook Hotel, and eventually runs into the infamous “twins”.
Talk about a Halloween Treat!
