Just a few days ago, Boston metal band Ice Nine Kills released an official video for their track “The Fastest Way To A Girl’s Heart Is Through Her Ribcage”, which comes from last year’s The Predator Becomes The Prey (iTunes).
To celebrate this release, we’ve got our hands on 20 behind-the-scenes photos from the music video shoot. Directed by Josiah Moore, the 50’s era-themed video features a bloodthirsty femme fetale, a hefty dose of blood, and a tongue-in-cheek attitude that perfectly suits the story.
Lead singer Spencer Charnas explains:
There is always something unsettling and a bit more sinister to me when a horror film is set far in the past. The 50’s represented a very wholesome “Leave It To Beaver”-esque era in America, so when you add carnage to the mix the dichotomy goes through the roof. For this video I wanted to take that eerie element and mix it with my sense of humor. I’m a huge fan of horror comedies like Very Bad Things, Idle Hands, and American Psycho, all of which balance laughter and slaughter so perfectly. I’ve always found it interesting that the word “slaughter” has only a one letter difference from the word “laughter”, that just tells me those two things belong together.
