Mick Thomson, guitarist for Iowa metal band Slipknot, was reportedly stabbed in the back of his head by his own brother, Andrew, during a knife fight between the two. Police stated that both brothers appeared to be drunk when they arrived and they were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries in separate ambulances.
It is uncertain if this will impact Slipknot’s upcoming Spring tour with Hatebreed. The band also has a summer tour with Lamb Of God planned.
