Tonight’s “Talking Dead” carried the following surprise, a first ever look at “Fear The Walking Dead”, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” spinoff from creator Robert Kirkman!
The new zombie series takes viewers to the west coast for two seasons, executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert. It’s a prequel that catches up to “The Walking Dead”.
Below is the first teaser trailer, albeit only 15-seconds long, that features a radio DJ speaking to a virus that’s spreading across the west coast – and five other states. We hope you got your flu shot…
The Los Angeles-based “Fear The Walking Dead” focuses on new characters and storylines, with the show’s first season consisting of six one-hour episodes that will premiere on AMC in late summer. Its second season will air in 2016.
AMC president Charles Collier previously revealed that the series will explore “what was going on in other parts of the zombie apocalypse, and what it looked like as the world really did ‘turn.’”
The series will star Cliff Curtis (“Missing,” “Gang Related”), Kim Dickens (Gone Girl, “Sons of Anarchy”), Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm).
