McFarlane Unveils “The Walking Dead” Series 7; Carl Grimes Comes With a Can of Pudding

The boys over at Figures have the first ever images from McFarlane Toys’ latest assortment of action figures based on AMC’s hit series, “The Walking Dead”.

Arriving in stores this month, Series 7 includes Michonne, Carl (who comes rocking a can of pudding; so cool!), Gareth and a Mud Walker.

Check out your local Target for an exclusive Hershel and Walgreens for an exclusive Rick Grimes, they add.

MICHONNE: In season 4, Michonne has lowered her guard a bit and formed an unlikely friendship with Rick’s son Carl. Michonne reveals her traumatic past to Carl and the events that lead to her surviving the apocalypse alone. Traveling along the train tracks on the road to Terminus, Michonne enjoys a can of cheese, proving that sometimes even the most deadly warrior needs to enjoy the little things in life. This figure comes with approximately 22 points of articulation, katana sword with sheath, Terminus memorial candle and a can of cheese.

CARL GRIMES: Carl Grimes, who started out as a shy little boy is season 1, has now become battle hardened by the dramatic events of the most recent seasons. In season 4, Carl’s abilities to protect himself and other survivors have greatly improved. His youth still shows at times, losing one of his shoes during a preventable walker encounter and indulging in a scrumptious can of pudding. This figure comes with approximately 22 points of articulation, removable sheriff’s hat, flashlight, Terminus memorial candle and a can of pudding.

GARETH: Introduced during the season 4 finale, Gareth is the smooth talking leader of the Terminus encampment. Based on the events of that final episode, in which he captures Rick and his group of survivors, Gareth clearly has an alternate agenda to help his people outlive this zombie apocalypse by any means necessary. This figure comes with approximately 22 points of articulation, pistol and Terminus memorial candles. Also included is a rotting human carcass, stripped of its meat and hinting at Gareth’s true intentions for Rick’s Group.

MUD WALKER: The only thing worse than having a walker coming at you is having one sneak up on you… the Mud Walker embodies this most terrifying scenario. During season 4 episode “Too Far Gone,” an unsupervised girl accidently unearths a walker buried in the dirt beside her. The Mud Walker figure exemplifies this gruesome character, complete with decomposing body and a worm coming out of his nose. You can also split this undead figure in half and mount his upper body on his mud-covered base with flash flood sign to recreate this iconic scene.

HERSHEL GREENE EXCLUSIVE: Hershel Greene has been vital in aiding injured survivors using his medical knowledge and religious devotion. When many of the survivors at the prison became ill from a deadly flu, Hershel, without hesitation, tied a bandana over his face and gladly risked his life to save the others. During the climatic season 4 episode, “Too Far Gone,” Hershel was unable to save The Governor from his blind vengeance and met an unjustified end because of it. It then fell on Michonne to put down Hershel’s severed, reanimated head with the very sword that killed him. Embodying these two iconic scenes, this figure comes with bandana covered mouth, a severed Hershel head, bloody katana and approximately 22 points of articulation.

This Hershel Green figure is a Target Exclusive.

RICK GRIMES EXCLUSIVE: In the beginning of The Walking Dead series, we are introduced to deputy Rick Grimes. After waking from a coma in an abandoned hospital, Rick finds the world he knew gone. Bound to uphold the law, Rick is seen wearing his full deputy uniform in many of the iconic scenes from season 1, such as his encounter with the Bicycle Girl walker and riding horseback into the city of Atlanta. This figure comes with approximately 22 points of articulation, full deputy uniform with hat and pistol.

This Rick Grimes figure is a Walgreen Exclusive.

‘Alien Hunt’ – It’s an ‘Alien’ and ‘Predator’ Mockbuster Rolled into One! [Trailer]

While you wait for Alien: Romulus, the folks over at Devilworks have cooked up their own slice of “mockbuster” fun with Alien Hunt, and we’re debuting the trailer here on BD this morning.

This brand-new sci-fi horror from director Aaron Mirtes (The Bigfoot Trap, Painted in Blood) is set for its US premiere on May 14, and you can find it on digital thanks to Devilworks.

You can exclusively watch the official trailer for Alien Hunt below, which looks to combine elements of Alien and Predator. This particular “mockbuster” has very little interest in hiding its inspirations, with the alien designs plucked straight out of H.R. Giger’s beautiful brain. Hey, if you’re going to pull from other movies, might as well take from the all-time greats!

In Alien Hunt, “On a hunting trip in the wilderness, a group of siblings discovers an abandoned military outpost on their land, but is it what it seems?

“Their trip takes a sinister turn when they find themselves facing off against a relentless army of extra-terrestrial beings. Suddenly, the hunters become the hunted.

“The formidable squad of alien soldiers will stop at nothing to wipe out the enemy and in an all-out, brutal battle for survival, it’s kill or be killed in Alien Hunt.”

Barron Boedecker (Escape Pod, The Bigfoot Trap), Brent Bentley (The Perfect In-Laws, Haunt Season), Deiondre Teagle (The Visitor, Painted in Blood, Death Ranch), Chelsey Fuller (The Bigfoot Trap, The Silent Natural), Jesse Santoyo (A Nashville Country Christmas, Potter’s Ground), and Adam Pietripaoli (The Bigfoot Trap, The OctoGames) star.
