While Record Store Day might be an amazing day for vinyl collectors who love to go shopping, it’s a nightmare for labels and musicians who want to get albums pressed in a timely fashion. The holiday slams pressing plants with orders and makes it damn near impossible for anybody to get something ready.
Unfortunately, such is the case with retrosynth group Wolfmen Of Mars and their upcoming album Gamisu. The album is still on slate for a digital release on June 2nd but the vinyl has been pushed back until July.
I was told the following:
Our album GAMISU got a bit delayed. The whole Record Store Day assault on the pressing plants has pushed it till July unfortunately. Digital is still on tap for June 2nd.
