Collection of Rare Photos From ‘Return to Oz’!
I just recently revisited Walter Murch’s 1985 Return to Oz, a film I have always loved since I was a wee lad.
Much like The Neverending Story, Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal, Return to Oz isn’t dated at all, and is just as fantastic as I remember it being. In fact, I got obsessed all over again and started seeking out fresh information about it and learned that it was quite a troubled production. In fact, there was a fan-made documentary (since removed from the Web completely) that detailed all of the problem that started with a ballooning budget.
Starring Fairuza Balk as Dorothy, I learned that Return to Oz was a legitimate sequel to Wizard of Oz, and even more faithful to L. Frank Baum’s books. There’s a plethora of interesting fact if you scour the Web.
In it, Dorothy is saved from a psychiatric experiment by a mysterious girl, and is somehow called back to Oz when a vain witch and the Nome King destroy everything that makes the magical land beautiful.

Epic’s Fortnite is heading for another crossover, this time with Universal Orlando and Halloween Horror Nights. The title’s annual Fortnitemares Halloween event will be coming to Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort in a new scare zone, kicking off on August 28.
For those not in the know, Scare zones are themed, open-air areas where guests and actors roam around freely.
This is the first time Fortnite will be featured during the after-hours event, which will run from August 28 until November 1. Tickets and packages are on sale now at the official site.
Per the press release, guests will enter Freaky Fields, a Halloween-inspired living battleground that’s been “overcome with a threatening force.” From there, fans will meet up with the Battle Bus, featuring familiar Fortnitemares characters, including “a few new additions exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights.”
And of course, there will be Fortnitemares merchandise available for fans, including a graphic t-shirt, decal set, and an acrylic collectible piece.
Fortnitemares won’t be the only featured property at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. Killer Klowns from Outer Space will also be getting its own scare zone. Sinners, Stranger Things, Hellraiser, and Evil Dead Burn will also be part of the event, though they will be relegated to their own specific houses.
And while it’s early yet, gamers can probably expect Fortnitemares to return to Fortnite this October.
