If you live in the New York area, it might be time to take a trip to Binghamton to head to the Bundy Museum Of History And Art. For one, they’re hosting a screening of Lucio Fulci’s The Beyond tonight at 9pm (and it includes free beer). But the real gem of their establishment is a new exhibit that pays homage to Rod Serling, the creator and voice of The Twilight Zone!
Curated by Michael Pipher, who has lent over 40 years of memorabilia collecting, the exhibit will feature a great many items that people can actually hold in their hands. Some props that can be seen include the famous “Cobra Phone” and apparently a $600 Twilight Zone board game that can be brought out for people to actually play.
Pipher tells a local news source:
We’re a hands-on museum. If they want to see the Twilight Zone board game, $600 rare piece, we’ll pull it out and let them play the game. If they want to handle the props from the Twilight Zone, they can hold the cobra phone, or the old Ironsides bookends and feel them and read the note from the set designer. [Source]
