Even More Free Content is Coming to ‘Contagion’

I’ve waited long enough for Capcom to give some attention to Resident Evil Outbreak, a short-lived multiplayer-focused take on the popular horror franchise that was way ahead of its time. I still think the time is right for a third entry in that polarizing spin-off series, but now that I have Contagion, I’m finding it easier to scratch that very specific itch.

I have a weakness for these kinds of games. I enjoy the teamwork aspect to it, partly, I’m sure, due to the fact that it’s a rarely used feature in this genre.

This may be why I enjoyed Contagion more than many other critics did. Soon, this game will be getting even better with another massive — and free — content update that will add four more playable characters, four weapons, two new maps (Union Station and Harvest) and a new wave survival mode called Flatline, which will be the first to not support player-controlled zombies.

This update is supposed to arrive sometime later this month. Stay tuned.
