On Monday, a man was snorkeling in the Cienega Springs area in Colorado when he stumbled across two skeletons anchored to lawn chairs. Fearing the worst, the man called the local sheriff’s department, who dispatched divers to investigate the matter. What they found out was that the two skeletons were fake, having been placed on the bottom of the river by some prankster who, according to Yahoo, was inspired by the 1989 dark comedy Weekend At Bernie’s.
The best part of this whole story? Supposedly the sheriff is thinking about getting the skeletons and placing them outside of his office!
You can see footage of the responding diver investigating the skeletons below.
