The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the IDW sci-fi/action comic Zombies Vs. Robots will be receiving a film adaptation under the title Inherit The Earth and will be directed by Andrew Adamson. The film is being written by Craig Borten (Dallas Buyers Club), who is updating a script originally written by Oren Uziel and J.T. Petty.
Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes and Circle Of Confusion are producing the film, which takes place in, “…a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies [that] has only one chance at recovery — a team of robots that must protect and clone a lone surviving human baby. They just need to do this amidst the endless hordes of zombies who have been driven rabid by their frustration at inedible bots and their lust to eat the one living brain left on the planet.
