The concept behind Predator is one that’s never been fully realized.
When you step back and really think about it, why do the Predator films only take place in modern day? If these alien beings have been hunting humans for sport for such a long period of time, why haven’t any filmmakers explored a historical battle?
James Bushe has just released his 27-minute long fan film, Predator: Dark Ages, which pits a Predator against a Templar Knight. It’s a really cool concept that imagines a Predator film in the world of “Game of Thrones”.
“Set during the Crusades, the faith and fighting skills of a group of Templar Knights is put to the test when they encounter the Predator. Their battle is the thing Myths and Legends are born from.”
Personally, I think it’s way too long, and while DP Simon Rowling does an astounding job, the Predator costume is a bit clunky as are the fight sequences. Still, it’s worth checking out…
