The first official video promo for AMC’s upcoming zombie spinoff series “Fear The Walking Dead” has hit the internet and is available to be seen below.
The clip shows Frank Dillane’s character “Nick” running from something, his face contorted in fear and his movements wild. The music of the clip only drives his terror, Inception-esque swells building in intensity.
My favorite part is towards the end where Nick needs to grab his pants and pull them up because he’s not wearing a belt. Look, I realize that this series takes place in the days before and during the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse. But there’ve been enough zombie movies for people to know that you need to be wearing a belt in order to make sure you don’t trip while running away. It’s just common sense.
The series stars Kim Dickens (Gone Girl, “Sons of Anarchy”) as Madison, Cliff Curtis (“Missing,” “Gang Related”) as Travis, Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) as Nick and Alycia Debnam-Carey (Into the Storm) as Alicia. Also joining the cast as series regulars are Elizabeth Rodriguez (“Orange is the New Black”) as Liza and Mercedes Mason (Quarantine 2: Terminal) as Ofelia.
The first season will have six episodes and is set to premiere sometime this summer.
