Here’s the ‘Krampus’ From the New Horror Anthology #SDCC
Along with Warcraft and Crimson Peak, Legendary Pictures will be debuting footage from Trick ‘R Treat director Michael Dougherty’s Krampus at its July 11 panel in Hall H at Comic-Con in San Diego.
Krampus is a comedy horror film directed by Dougherty from his own script about the demon who is the opposite of Santa Claus in German folklore. Take a look at some of the really cool props on display at the con right now.
Starring Allison Tolman, Emjay Anthony, Adam Scott, David Koechner and Stefania Owen, Krampus is to release before the holidays on December 4th.

“The horror-comedy tells the story of young Max (Emjay Anthony), who turns his back on Christmas as his dysfunctional family comes together and comically clashes over the holidays. When they accidentally unleash the wrath of Krampus—an ancient entity from European folklore—all hell breaks loose and beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own. Now, the fractured family is forced to unite if they hope to survive.”
Keith C. Blackmore’s book series Mountain Man is headed to the screen, with Deadline reporting today that Joe Manganiello (“True Blood”) is on board to star in the film adaptation.
The actor will also produce the upcoming zombie movie.
“Mountain Man tells the story of Gus, a lonely post-apocalyptic survivor facing isolation and the ever-present specter of a zombie attack, who struggles with alcohol abuse and suicidal thoughts until he discovers another survivor, a captivating woman who poses another threat altogether.”
John Lee (False Positive) will direct Mountain Man from a script by Matt Deller.
“John is a brilliant creative mind. We’ve been looking for the right thing to do together since we filmed Pee Wee’s Big Holiday and it’s finally here,” 3:59’s Joe and Nick Manganiello told Deadline. “Very excited to get to work on such weird, wild project with him.”
Film Bridge International is launching sales on the project in Cannes.
Blackmore’s Mountain Man series features 7 books, the first one published in 2011.
