During tonight’s episode of “Wayward Pines“, FOX aired a 15-second teaser for the upcoming 10th mini-season of the sci-fi/thriller drama “The X-Files“, full of all-new footage. You can see the video below, although it doesn’t offer too much new that’s substantial, aside from a very cool shot of the iconic “I Want To Believe” poster being stepped upon.
FOX will debut the return of “The X-Files” on Sunday, January 24, at 10 p.m., immediately after the network’s broadcast of the NFL championship game.
Mulder and Scully will then settle in for a five-week run Mondays at 8 p.m.
Mitch Pileggi returns as FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner, while William B. Davis will be back as the iconic Cigarette-Smoking Man in the new short-stack order of 6-episodes.
Veteran writers James Wong and Glen Morgan are also back. The two writers collaborated on several of the series’ most acclaimed episodes and they’re each slated to write and direct one episode of the new season. Morgan will also join as executive producer with Chris Carter, who created the series.
Shooting continues at North Shore Studios in N. Vancouver through August 14th.
