Hot off Fast 7, James Wan is quickly segueing into The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist, New Line Cinema’s sequel to the summer smash hit that followed the Warrens on one of their most famous cases. The film was such a box office success that a spinoff quickly went into production telling the tale of the Annabelle doll.
This case, also directed by Wan, will tell of the infamous “Enfield Poltergeist,” which took place at a council house in Brimsdown village, borough of Enfield, England during the late 1970s.
Wan teased the beginning of preproduction, with filming to to take place in Los Angeles, California and England.
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return to star in The Conjuring 2, which haunts theaters June 10, 2016.
