EW has posted three photos from the upcoming sixth season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” that show off some new inhabitants of Alexandria. Below are photos of Merritt Wever, who plays “Dr. Denise Cloyd” (a character from the comic), Ethan Embry will be playing “Carter”, who is supposedly a composite of several comic characters, and Corey Hawkins, who takes on the role of “Heath”.
Dr. Denise Cloyd’s addition to the show brings up the possibility that one of the main gang is going to suffer a very serious injury, which occurs in the comic. Nothing has been set in stone, but this could get interesting.
Showrunner Scott Gimple describes “Carter”, saying, “Ethan plays a combo of a few characters that we actually haven’t hit yet or weren’t able to hit in other characters. He is an Alexandrian, and has been there the whole time, just quite busy.”
As for “Heath”, Gimple describes Hawkins, stating:
He’s terrific and I’m so excited to see him bring Heath to life. It’s been fun and he dove in with both feet. He’s tough and skeptical when the cameras are rolling, and then when they’re off he’s just like a goofy fan. He’s really, really excited to be there.
Check out the photos below and get ready for “The Walking Dead” when it returns October 11th.
