Bloody-Disgusting has teamed up with Norwegian metal band Anfinnsaas to exclusively premiere their track “Slått Fra Røstad”, which comes from their upcoming self-titled album.
The track is a winding, ragged piece of instrumental metal. Dynamically shifting from low growls to rasping highs, this track calls to mind Metal Asylum‘s description that this album is the metal “…equivalent of Sam Raimi’s first Evil Dead film.”
The band comments:
‘Slått fra Røstad’ is the first single from our self-titled debut album. It’s also the first tune we ever wrote, a couple of years ago, so it’s about time.
‘Slått Fra Røstad’ was made through jamming at rehearsals and experimenting in the studio. It starts out with a drum beat, and me adding a guitar riff basically. It evolved over time into the audio assault that it became on the recording.
While it has its rhythmical twists, it’s still the kind of music that allows us to hit our instruments as hard as we can and make a lot of noise, and thus giving it the energy and edge it needs.
