DreamWorks Developing Horror/Comedy “Cropsey”

Published

on

DreamWorks and Frank Marshall are currently in the process of developing a horror thriller by the name of Cropsey. The studio is negotiating a pitch to acquire the project from Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg, who will write the screenplay.

The film is apparently going to mix horror and humor along the lines of The Goonies or Gremlins, hearkening to Amblin-styled films.

According to Variety, the film will follow, …a group of adolescents at a summer camp haunted by an urban legend that dates back to the Colonial Period.

The film has nothing to do with the 2009 documentary of the same name.
