Vinegar Syndrome Reveals Artwork for ‘Demonoid’ and ‘Frightmare’ Blu-rays

Vinegar Syndrome, one of my favorites and arguably the leader in physical media distribution, has revealed the artwork for two of their most anticipated releases – Frightmare and Demonoid. Both are set for an October 20th release, allowing you to pick them up just in time for Halloween. If their previous work is any indication both these releases will be spectacular.  For this go around Vinegar Syndrome looks to be going with reversible covers which is always welcomed. I  must say however, it’s going to be very difficult to choose which artwork to use.

Frightmare was written and directed by Norman Thaddeus Vane and stars Ferdy Mayne, Luca Bercovici and Nita Talbot.

Synopsis:
Drama students decide to pay tribute to their favorite horror star by stealing his body from his crypt for a farewell party. They fail to realize their violation of the tomb has triggered powerful black magic, and Conrad hasn’t taken his final bows yet.

Demonoid was directed by Alfredo Zacarías and written by Zacarías, David Lee Fein and F. Amos Powell. The film stars Samantha Eggar, Stuart Whitman and Roy Jenson.

Synopsis:
A British woman visits her husband at the Mexican mine he is attempting to reopen and discovers that the workers refuse to enter the mine fearing an ancient curse. The couple enter the mine to prove there is no danger and inadvertently release a demon which possess people’s left hands and forces them to behave in a suitably diabolical manner. The only way for a possessed person to free themselves from this torment is to cut off their left hand after which it scurries away in search of its next victim…
