Rob Zombie Believes ’31’s’ “Doom-Head” Will Be “The Next Great Villain”
Rob Zombie’s films are definitely polarizing but there’s no denying that he creates some really iconic and memorable characters. And as we get nearer and nearer to learning more about his upcoming film 31, we’re slowly starting to find out more information about the actual characters that will be featured.

The synopsis for 31 reads:
31 follows five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large secret compound known as Murder World.
Once there, they have 12 hours to survive a terrifying game called 31 in which ‘The Heads’- murderous maniacs dressed as clowns – are released to hunt them down and kill them.
Yesterday, Zombie posted a new photo of Richard Brake as “Doom-Head”, who he says, “…does not fuck around“. The photo can be seen below.
Here’s the statement, via his Facebook page:
31 news! DOOM-HEAD (aka Richard Brake) does not fuck around. This guy is one fucking intense dude.
I predict that he is the next great villian of horror.
The next great villain, eh? I mean, with how much fans love Otis and Captain Spaulding, I can’t deny that there’s a very solid chance he’ll make a truly memorable character. But to create something as iconic or terrifying as the next Jason or Freddy is a tall challenge!

One of the genre films we’re looking forward to checking out at SXSW this year is Dead Mail, written and directed by Joe DeBoer and Kyle McConaghy and premiering on March 9.

“On a desolate, Midwestern county road, a bound man crawls towards a remote postal box, managing to slide a blood-stained plea-for-help message into the slot before a panicking figure closes in behind him. The note makes its way to the county post office and onto the desk of Jasper, a seasoned and skilled “dead letter” investigator, responsible for investigating lost mail and returning it to its sender. As he investigates further, Jasper meets Trent, a strange yet unassuming man who has taken up residence at the men’s home where Jasper lives.
“When Trent unexpectedly shows up at Jasper’s office, it becomes clear he has a vested interest in the note, and will stop at nothing to retrieve it…”
