Earlier this week, From Software unveiled the first expansion for their latest attempt to break our collective will with Bloodborne: The Old Hunters. Included in its $19.99 price tag are ten new weapons, additional environments to explore, and the chance to “experience the nightmare of the hunters who once guarded Byrgenwerth’s darkest secrets.”
Eurogamer recently sat down with From Software’s Masaaki Yamagiwa to chat about the expansion, and apparently, the old Old Hunters — not to be confused with the new Old Hunters we know now, or even the old new Old Hunters we’ll know it to be sometime after its release — was originally going to be two separate DLC add-ons.
This may be the only new content Bloodborne sees before it’s replaced by Dark Souls III in April, so in an effort to ensure it’s a worthy addition to an unbelievably good game, the DLC underwent convergence — praise Altman — to become one epic expansion.
Bloodborne: The Old Hunters releases on November 24 for PS4.
