Ilya Naishuller’s Hardcore, the feature length POV action film, has finished the bidding the war with STX Entertainment coming out on top. Bidding reached a spectacular $10 million and will include a commitment for at least 1,000 screens in the U.S.
The synopsis for Hardcore reads:
Resurrected with no recollection of his past, a cyborg named Henry (the audience’s POV) and his ally, Jimmy (Sharlto Copley, ‘District 9′) must fight through the streets of Moscow in pursuit of Henry’s kidnapped wife in the world’s first action-adventure film to be entirely shot from the first person perspective.
Hardcore, which Brad writes, “…filled to the brim with holy shit moments (review),” is produced by Timur Bekmambetov, Ilya Naishuller, Inga Vainshtein Smith and Ekaterina Kononenko. It stars Sharlto Copley, Haley Bennett, Danila Kozlovsky, Cyrus Arnold, Ilya Naishuller and Will Stewart.
