With filming underway with a casting and synopsis reveal for the latest in the Resident Evil movie franchise, an extra nugget of information has surfaced on the Facebook page of new star, Ruby Rose, as she touched down in Cape Town to star filming.

Note the hashtag of #RedQueen.  I’ll start the rumor mill here but putting it out there that I think that her character of “Abigail” will end up being said “homicidal bitch” programme in a physical robotic twist (Ruby Rose has already portrayed an android in TV show “Dark Matter”) or even the embodiment of the friendlier White Queen.  With Paul W.S Anderson taking liberties with the video game lore, it is anyone’s guess.

“Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. Sony Screen Gems has slated Paul W.S. Anderson’s Resident Evil: The Final Chapter for release on January 27, 2017.
