‘Attack on Titan’ Will Face ‘Godzilla’…Sorta
While the reviews for the upcoming live action adaptation of Attack on Titan haven’t exactly been glowing, the anime and manga still have rabid and dedicated fans who want to see the series given the proper justice it deserves. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t getting creative with it, as evidenced by the below stop motion/CGI creation of Attack on Titan versus Godzilla!
The mashup’s timing is rather coincidentally perfect, considering that the AoT movie was directed by Shinji Higuchi, who is also directing Toho’s upcoming Godzilla film that’s set to come out next summer.
The video below claims to be the first clip, which indicates others are bound to come out soon. And while there are some cool moments, it cuts off before any Titan/Godzilla action occurs. That being said, it’s playful, it’s inventive, and it’s worth the few minute runtime!
