Sans the found-footage, I loved M. Night Shyamalan’s The Visit, which he independently shot as he quietly exited from the studio system.
This time he’s bringing along a superb actor in James McAvoy, who killed it as Professor X in the latest X-Men films.
Interestedly enough, Heat Vision is reporting that McAvoy is stepping into the shoes that seemed initially earmarked for Joaquin Phoenix and would have marked a reunion between the filmmaker and one of the stars of his 2002 hit Signs.
The untitled film is described as a supernatural thriller.
McAvoy can be seen in FOX’s Victor Frankenstein on November 25th.
