A growing number of developers have begun experimenting with relatively brief, contained story-driven horror games that eschew gore and jump scares for tension and psychological terror. This trend has already given us memorable games like Homesick and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, with more on the way, including Allison Road and Funcom’s The Park.
The Park will take between 1-2 hours to complete, making it one of the shorter games on that list. It follows a mother, Lorraine, who’s trying to find her son in what might very well be the most evil amusement park in the world.
Apparently, this theme park has been straight up murdering folks under the guise of faulty equipment, but we know there’s probably a demon behind it. Or worse, clowns.
