Everyone knows that on Halloween you get to dress up and go house-to-house for the age-old tradition of trick or treating. You say your greetings, the person at the door marvels at your costume, you get some candy, and boom, you don’t have to deal with each other again. In a weird way, it’s the kid version of a successful one night stand.
But two pranksters (I actually don’t know if this constitutes a prank but it’s the closest I can think of off the top of my head) decided to turn things around this Halloween and give back to all the people who so selflessly gave. Their costume was two old ladies with shower caps on who went to neighborhood doors with their own door. When the homeowners opened their door, they were faced with another door that they were instructed to knock upon. That’s when the two altruists would open the door and offer their own candy as a treat.
It’s such a cool idea and it’s something I really want to do next year. The fun part of this is that it actually offers a trick as well as a treat, only both are harmless and completely good natured. Plus, you still get to dress up as whatever you want!
