After the monstrous success of the first two films, Sony Pictures Animation announced that Hotel Transylvania 3 will hit theaters September 22, 2018.
While I haven’t had a chance to see the second, yet, I did quite enjoy the first.
It’s presumed that Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, Fran Drescher and Molly Shannon will reprise their voice roles.
Genndy Tartakovsky, who directed the first two trips to Hotel Transylvania, will not return, stating, “Two is enough. I have a lot of other ideas, and I kind of have to express them and have them come out.”
The sequel, in theaters now, could top $400 million worldwide.
The franchise follows Dracula (Sandler), who operates a high-end resort away from the human world, goes into overprotective mode when a boy discovers the resort and falls for the count’s teen-aged daughter.
