FRONTIÈRES ANNOUNCES CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR ITS 3RD EDITION IN BRUSSELS

The Frontières International Co-Production Market is now accepting project submissions for its
third annual European edition, which will take place March 30 – April 1 next year during the
Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. Filmmakers will have until December 11 to
submit their projects.

Frontières will select 20 genre film projects with a primary focus on Europe and North America.
Project participants are invited to partake in a 3-day networking event with the leaders of the
international genre film industry. Projects will participate in a live pitch session that will open
the market and partake in one-on-one meeting sessions, panels, workshops and networking
sessions.

Established in 2012 at the Fantasia International Film Festival, Frontières has since developed
into a biannual transatlantic circuit – taking place in Montreal in July at Fantasia, and Brussels in
April at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. Previous Frontières editions have
featured projects from Dario Argento, Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Joe Dante, Larry
Fessenden, Bobcat Goldthwait, Stuart Gordon, Jorge Michel Grau, Gigi Saul Guerrero, Bruce
McDonald, John McNaughton, Alexandre Philippe, RKSS Films, Simon Rumley, Jovanka Vuckovic
and Andrzej Zulawski. Frontières selects projects from both established and emerging
filmmakers.

“We’re thrilled to return once again to Brussels for a third year,” says Lindsay Peters, Market
Director. “Our 2015 editions saw a new energy in finance and production partners attending
Frontières that led to more deals being made at a faster pace than ever before, and we’re very
excited to now look towards 2016 and discover the next wave in genre talent.”
The Frontières International Co-Production Market is a collaborative initiative between the
Fantasia International Film Festival, Vision-in-Motion, and the Brussels International Fantastic
Film Festival, and is made possible thanks to the generous support of Creative Europe, Telefilm
Canada and SODEC, and of Visit Brussels and the Brussels Capital-Region. Visit

Anna Faris & Regina Hall Promise ‘Scary Movie’ Will “Offend Everyone;” New Images Revealed

Published

The Wayans are out to cancel the Cancel Culture with Scary Movie, and the cast assures it will do just that.

“They sort of have an across-the-board style,” Anna Faris tells EW. “It’s always been a part of the Wayans Brothers, their electricity. ‘Can we offend you? Will you still love us? Come on, you still love us, don’t you?'”

Regina Hall concurs, promising the “boundary-pushing” sixth installment in the horror parody franchise will “offend everyone.”

EW has shared a batch of behind-the-scenes images from Scary Movie, which hits theaters June 5 via Paramount.

Faris and Hall are joined by fellow franchise favorites Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams in the legacy sequel.

The ensemble includes Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, Kenan Thompson, and Felissa Rose.

Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs from a script by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).

The film will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and everyfinal chapterthat absolutely isn’t final.

Scary Movie launched in 2000, followed by Scary Movie 2 in 2001. The Wayans’ involvement ended there, but the series continued with 2003’s Scary Movie 3, 2006’s Scary Movie 4, and 2013’s Scary Movie 5.
