The Orchard, who just nabbed Demon and Southbound out of the Toronto International Film Festival, has acquired acquired North American, UK, Australian and New Zealand distribution rights on Oliver Irving’s Ghost Team, starring Napoleon Dynamite‘s Jon Heder, Jeepers Creepers‘ Justin Long and the hilarious Amy Sedaris, says Deadline.
The film is about a team of ghost hunters who get more than they bargained for when they embark on their own paranormal investigation. The makers of Ghost Team believe theirs will be the first feature to use the new Steadicam Tango, an innovation by cinematographer Garrett Brown on his Steadicam invention.
David Krumholtz, Melonie Diaz and Paul W. Downs also star.
Peter Warren wrote the script and Tandem Pictures’ Julie Christeas and Schuyler Weiss are producing with Mott Street Pictures’ Alex Sagalchik and Irving. Preferred Content’s Kevin Iwashinia is exec producing.
