In honor of tomorrow’s vinyl rerelease of Polish Night Music, the collaboration album between director/musician David Lynch and Polish concert pianist and composer Mark Zebrowski, the duo have shared an unreleased live performance of them playing the title track. The piece was recorded in Paris in 2007 at the opening of ‘The Air is on Fire,’ Lynch’s retrospective art show at Fondation Cartier.
Zebrowski explains, “(Poland) is a landscape that continues to remain at once familiar and completely alien to me. Every time I am there, I am surprised by some- thing, and I think for David, Poland certainly represents the process of discovery.”
