“The Walking Dead” Stars Become ‘Invaders’
Jordan Woods-Robinson (Eric Raleigh on “The Walking Dead”) and Ricky Wayne (Officer O’Donnell on “The Walking Dead”) star in writer/director Jason Kupfer’s fantastic short horror comedy film Invaders. Playing on films like You’re Next and The Strangers, with a bit of a holiday twist, the short shows Woods-Robinson and Wayne gearing up to invade a family home. As can be expected, things do not go as planned and we’re treated to one of the bloodiest shorts I’ve seen in a long time!
While watching, make sure to pay attention to how beautifully it’s filmed. The POV shot of the knife as Woods-Robinson is air stabbing is quite fascinating and isn’t something I recall having seen.
I probably shouldn’t have to say this but I wouldn’t recommend watching this while at work. There’s no nudity or anything like that but there is a fair bit of gore and some swearing, so your boss might not take too kindly to that.
On a side-note, can you imagine just how fun a Home Alone-style horror movie would be where the invaders and the hunted kinda bumble kill each other off? Yeah, David Unger Music kinda went that route but I want an original movie that would do something like this. If done right, it could be one of the greatest horror comedies ever released!
