The Puppet Man is a short film written and directed by Jacqueline Castel that will be featuring the music of John Carpenter as well as a short cameo from the master of horror himself! The short slasher film stars supermodel Crystal Renn in her acting debut and the film is based on a childhood character created by artist and lead actor Johnny Scuotto. The film, “…follows a supernatural killer who stalks a young woman and her friends in a neon-lit dive bar.”
Per the official press release: “[The Puppet Man] marks director Jacqueline Castel’s second short narrative film collaboration with Sacred Bones, amidst a collection of music videos, documentaries, album covers, and events that she has created for the label.”
Carpenter’s musical contributions to the short come from his album Lost Themes. According to Sacred Bones, it will be a few different tracks, although the exact titles are not being released.
