Your Xbox One May Start Offering Xbox 360 Games
In their ongoing mission to procure all our cash monies, Microsoft has confirmed they’re working on a feature that will expand the Xbox One’s library of digital titles to include Xbox 360 games. This ought to pair nicely with the hundreds of games that will eventually be updated to support backwards compatibility on the new Xbox, including November’s batch of games.
This is lovely news if you’ve been blessed with deep pockets or the ability to say no to a modestly priced video game. For me and my emaciated wallet, it’s the beginning of the end.
There’s no way to purchase Xbox 360 content on the Xbox One right now, so if you’re trying to recruit a few friends to play some Gears of War 3 Horde Mode, you’re currently limited to the folks who still own a physical copy of the game.
This expansion of the Xbox One marketplace takes care of that, so long as you’re willing to spend more than you would’ve had you picked it up at a games retailer.
