Showtime has released a short “now in production” video for “Twin Peaks
” that goes into the importance of location and what it means for the series. The video features a short interview with Michael Horse, who played “Deputy Tommy ‘Hawk’ Hill” in the original series.
The original series followed FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper as he investigated the murder of Laura Palmer, an action that set off a string of strange and sometimes unexplainable events. Secrets were exposed, lives were upended, and a cult phenomenon was born, one that still resonates to this day.
Filming is currently happening in Washington with Kyle MacLachlan, Balthazar Getty, Robert Knepper, Amanda Seyfried, and Jennifer Jason Leigh all confirmed to appear.
“Twin Peaks” returns to TV in 2017 on Showtime and continues the story told in the original two seasons, which aired in 1990 and 1991. The third season of the cult murder mystery show is being directed by co-creator David Lynch, who co-wrote the series with co-creator Mark Frost.
